Max Hillebrand is free software engineer an economist who started reading Keynes when he was 9 and got into Bitcoin at the age of 16. He says “Bitcoin is for everyone”, even his grandmother runs a Lightning node. #219 - Emma Reilly: Whistleblowing On The UN [Live]

Emma Reilly is a former UN employee and whistleblower who uncovered that the UN was handing names of dissidents to the Chinese government. Emma said, "One of the first issues we had to deal with was a request from China to know whether specific individuals were planning to attend the session. I had received a similar request before and the answer has always been NO."
She added she thought it would never happen 
"The policy, the practice was very clear that its member states wanted to know about specific individuals, they have to ask in front of all member states. It wasn’t something that they could get secret advance information from the UN administration. The outcome of those emails was a decision by the Chief of Branch, Human Rights Council that names should be handed to China and only China," she said.

#217 - Alan Robinson (NI Cannaguy) on CBD, Legalisation And Medicinal Marijuana In The UK

Why can't we get medicinal marijuana in the UK? The UK accounts for 70% of the export market around the world for medical cannabis and yet it seems there is no way to legitimately get a marijuana prescription. THANKFULLY, Alan Robinson, better known as NICannaguy on Instagram, is pushing the boat out and has opened the very first medicinal marijuana cafe in Northern Ireland. Don't be going in expecting to get an ounce of chronic though, he's there to help people get access to a legitimate prescription, not to flog it himself - although he does sell CBD and a bunch of CBD infused coffees and oils. 
Alan was kind enough to walk me through the legality of this situation in the UK and Northern Ireland, the campaign he has been on to get weed legalised for medical use, and the progress he has made.

#216 - Prof Heaven Crawley: A Real Discussion On Refugees, Asylum Seekers, And The Channel

Over the past weeks and months I have endlessly heard about the migrant crisis in the channel and about untold numbers of folks crossing into Britain in order to seek asylum. I have had so many questions about the crisis that are simply not mentioned or addressed by those who are covering the issue - whether than is the papers or the BBC. So I decided that the absolute best thing I could do, would be to have an expert on the show to discuss the issue and I was lucky enough to be able to talk through the refugee crisis, where they are coming from, the real process for seeking asylum, and much much more with Professor Heaven Crawley from Coventry University.
Heaven Crawley is Professor of International Migration at Coventry University’s Centre for Trust, Peace and Social Relations where she leads a team of researchers working on issues of migration, displacement and belonging. Heaven was previously head of asylum and immigration research at the UK Home Office and Associate Director of the Institute for Public Policy Research (ippr).
Over the past 25 years Heaven has worked with refugees and asylum seekers from a wide range of countries and backgrounds. Her main interests are in better understanding the experiences of forced migrants including the reasons why people feel compelled to leave their countries of origin, their experiences of the journey to their new country and how they adapt to the social, economic and personal challenges and opportunities that living in a new country inevitably brings.

Michael Yardley was born in Denmark and educated in England, Switzerland and the US. He has a psychology degree from London University, conducted post-graduate research into direct action and terrorism at the LSE, and is also a graduate of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. Michael is well known as a security and sporting journalist, often broadcasting on these topics. The author of 10 books and 2 millions words of journalism, he is active as a film-maker too and has been involved in several documentaries exploring the assassinations of John F Kennedy and RFK, including the replication of the infamous shots that killed JFK. He's here with me today to talk about the demise of our institutions, the death of liberalism, and just how we've ended up in our current state of affairs regarding covid, corruption, and the sheer blatant incompetence of our leadership class.
